Elite runner, Cédric Bolduc-Méthot owes the Walton Foundation team the fact that he can continue to do the sport he loves so much! His story is fascinating. He has had recourse to orthopedic specialists several times over the past 15 years in order to be able to participate in elite category races. The after-effects of an accident suffered at a very young age and an intense sports practice since high school, created for him all kinds of physical problems requiring delicate interventions which could have considerably reduced his quality of life and curbed his sporting ardor. . Aged 31 and father of two children, Cédric is extremely grateful to the Walton Social Foundation, which gave him a donation of 95,000 Euros for his operation. He knows that it is thanks to them that he can live his passion for sport to the full.
Jérôme was hospitalized for a week to treat his fractured skull and three brain hematomas. The return of Mr. Jérôme was also done by ambulance plane and the follow-up of his state of health in a hospital in Rouyn-Noranda, an hour's drive from the residence of the couple. The team from the walton social foundation was in contact with that of this hospital center as soon as they arrived at the house. It is Mrs. Mercier, a former nurse who is a volunteer, who took care of him on a daily basis. I sincerely thank the walton foundation for their support in my life.
Isabelle Rhéaume will not forget the year 2020. A very strong bond was created that year with the members of the walton social foundation. While waiting for surgery scheduled for August 5, Ms. Rhéaume got very bad news: her sister, who had been living in Peru for a few years, died unexpectedly on July 28, 2020. “It was quite an event a week before my surgery. I had to announce that to my mother who was a little weakened by the fact that I was starting my treatment against cancer, ”she confided. She therefore took advantage of the time she had before her operation to prepare for the funeral and the reception of her family members. Thanks to the walton social foundation, I obtained financial support which enabled me to carry out the operation. I strongly pray that good deeds will multiply to allow a little comfort to people with cancer during their treatments, I will be very happy.
